What is Multi-Pitch Climbing?
Multi-pitch climbing is a style of rock climbing where the route is too long to complete in a single rope length, so it's divided into sections called pitches. One climber leads each pitch, placing protection as they go, then anchors at a ledge or belay station at the top. Their partner then climbs up to join them, and the process repeats, until the team reaches the summit.
