Welcome to

The Church

The Church is in the St. Werburgh’s area of Bristol in the site formerly known as Undercover Rock. With walls of varied shapes and angles up to 12m high, we have dedicated top-roping and lead climbing areas. The Church has routes for climbers of all abilities. So whether you want to start your climbing journey or improve your technique, The Church has everything you need.

We pride ourselves on having a friendly, passionate and experienced team as well as a whole host of great courses for those wanting to learn or improve. There are two small bouldering areas, a training/stretching space and a mezzanine cafe area – with a great view of the climbing area – that serves up locally roasted coffee, fresh sandwiches, delicious cakes and local beers.

Click the + (on mobile) to see courses, youth activities, centre info, forms and more.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

COME AND TRY CLIMBING

Climbing is a great way to exercise in a sociable and supportive environment. If you have not tried roped climbing before, you’ll need to do one of our Taster Sessions or a Beginners Courses. If you’re an established climber you can just come in, sign up (or complete forms online) and you’re off.
