Adventure awaits at The Arc, Chippenham’s vibrant hub for rope climbing, bouldering, skating and good times. Enjoy fun times and meet friends in our dog-friendly cafe. We have climbing courses for adults and youth, birthday packages, a free skatepark, plus a kids’ play park – and a cool sculpture walk nearby. There is step-free access throughout. Come and try climbing

Bouldering? No need to book. Just show up. Hire shoes available.
New to ropes? Our Beginners’ Course equips you for adventure.
Experienced climbers? Just complete forms and demonstrate competence.
Climbers and supervisors: complete forms online before you visit to save time. Over 16s can climb unsupervised. Under 16s must have adult supervision. 1 adult can supervise 2 max.

You can track climbs, log progress and compete on a monthly leaderboard via the free Griptonite app.

Built by CBLC with support from Sport England, the climbing centre is operated by TCA. The climbing centre and skatepark was funded from CBLC's investments together with a grant of £200,000 from Wiltshire Council towards the skatepark and £100,000 grant towards the climbing centre from Sport England.
