Booking cancellation terms and conditions

TCA operates a standard set of booking cancellation terms and conditions that apply to all bookings unless stated otherwise.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of everyone who interacts with The Climbing Academy.

We collect and hold personal information in the following circumstances: when you purchase from our online shop; when you climb with us or supervise climbers at any of our centres, whether as a pass holder, day visitor, or punch card user; and when you become a member or register with us in any way. Some of this information, particularly that relating to who is present in our centres and in what capacity, is held for health and safety purposes and is a necessary part of operating a safe climbing facility.

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we only share it where necessary to operate our services or where we are required to do so by law.

Our full Privacy Policy sets out in detail what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights in relation to it, including your right to access, correct or request deletion of your data.

Child Safeguarding Policy

The Climbing Academy openly promotes an environment where all staff members, instructors, coaches, volunteer coaches and parents (supporting activities as helpers) share a common responsibility and duty of care to the children visiting TCA climbing walls and participating on TCA courses.

This policy is designed to protect both children and TCA staff. Please read it carefully and if you have any questions about it, discuss them with your Designated Child Safeguarding Officer (CSO).

Photography and filming

Photographs and video footage commissioned by The Climbing Academy will be used for publicity related to TCA climbing centres. Images may be used on our website, social media channels (including but not restricted to Facebook and Instagram), email, newsletters, press releases, print and on partner’s sites. They are added to a TCA image library. Images captured at TCA events are taken with a legal basis of ‘legitimate interest’ and subjects have a right to removal.

Right to removal – Individuals can change their mind at any time and request deletion from TCA’s image library. They can email photography@theclimbingacademy.com with a picture or screen grab of any pertinent images. Images in digital format can be removed from our library once identified and anything used in print will be phased out at the earliest convenient moment.
