Bouldering

Under 16s must be supervised by a registered adult. Each adult can supervise up to 2 others per visit.

You can boulder at all TCA centres. There is a dedicated kids climbing area at The Newsroom in Kinning Park. If you’re bringing kids to The Prop Store to boulder, we’d recommend phoning ahead to check as there are some restrictions for under 8s.

Roped Climbing

Under 18s must be supervised by a registered adult.

You can only rope climb at The Prop Store (Maryhill). The Newsroom in Kinning Park is bouldering-only. We offer kids term time classes, holiday sessions and birthday parties. Visit locations for more info on youth climbing.

Experienced climbers can save time by completing forms online in advance.

arrowCan I visit without climbing?

Yes, we have cafes in every centre where you can enjoy great coffee, sweet treats, savoury snacks and beer. These are open to the public. You do not need to register to use the cafes. We offer take out hot drinks if you are passing and need a quick caffeine (or decaf) fix.

Welcome to

The Prop Store

The Prop Store is a welcoming climbing centre in Maryhill, Glasgow — the kind of place you come to get fit, meet people, and enjoy the workout. There’s a large bouldering area plus a small roped space with auto belays, lead and top-rope, and upstairs you’ll find a gym and training room. Our café pours locally roasted coffee and serves savouries and sweet treats, and our shop carries one of Scotland’s largest ranges of climbing shoes, with expert advice whenever you need it.

New to climbing?

The easiest way in is a Taster — a relaxed session covering bouldering and auto-belays, so you can try both and see what clicks. Come solo, or bring friends and family along to learn together.

“Recently got into climbing and can’t rate this centre well enough, from friendly staff to a great selection of fun problems and the small gym/training area upstairs. Seems to attract a good, friendly and respectful clientele too which is a great environment for a newbie like me.” Google review ★★★★★
