Two Weeks Free For New Customers

Available for six months from 1 September 2026.

Thinking about trying indoor climbing? We’ve made it easier and cheaper to start. Pay for your first ever visit to The Climbing Academy, then climb free for the next two weeks at any of our centres in Bristol, Glasgow and Chippenham. Come as often as you like. Two weeks is enough time to find out if climbing is for you.

Who can get two weeks free climbing?

The offer is for people who are brand new to The Climbing Academy. If you’re already on our system you likely benefitted from our old intro offer, so this one is for the climbers who haven’t tried us yet.

Why two weeks?

Getting into climbing isn’t a one-session decision. It takes a few goes to find your feet, get comfortable, work out what you enjoy and feel the difference a bit of practice makes. Two weeks gives you room to do exactly that.

  • Come back as often as you like. No limits.
  • Try different centres. Find the one that works for you.
  • Try different times of day. Daytime on weekdays is quieter than the evenings, as is after 8pm. Our peak hours indicate busier times.
  • Try different kinds of climbing. Get to grips with low level bouldering (no ropes) or climbing at height on our auto belays.

What can you do in your two weeks?

If you’re new to climbing

You can boulder straight away. Bouldering is climbing close to the ground over soft mats, with no ropes. Just turn up and start. You can hire shoes on site. If you get into it, we also sell shoes. Our staff can help you find the right pair.

You can also try climbing at height on our auto belays without the need for a partner. Just ask our team for a free auto belay induction at any of our roped centres and they’ll get you set up. It’s a great way to get easy mileage.

If you’re an experienced rope climber

You’re free to rope climb from the start, alongside everything else. Your two weeks cover all our climbing, so make the most of it.

If you want to try roped climbing for the first time

Climbing on ropes with a partner takes a bit of know-how to do safely, so there’s one step first. You can book a taster session or a Roped Beginners’ course. See Roped courses.

Where can you use the offer?

The offer works across all five of our centres (see locations):

  • Bristol — The Church and The Mothership
  • Glasgow — The Prop Store and The Newsroom
  • Chippenham — The Arc

Frequently asked questions

  • How much does the two weeks free offer cost?
The same price as one peak entry: £14.50 for an adult, £9.80 under 16s or £8.80 under 8s. That single paid visit unlocks two weeks of free climbing. Shoe hire is not included (£4 adult/£3 under 16s).
  • Can I use it at more than one centre?
Yes. The offer covers all TCA centres: 2 in Glasgow, 2 in Bristol and 1 in Chippenham, so you can climb at as many as you like. See locations.
  • Do I need any climbing experience?
No. If you’ve never climbed before you can start bouldering straight away. At roped centres, you can ask for a free auto belay induction to try climbing at height. Auto belays let you climb on ropes on your own without a partner.
  • I’ve climbed at TCA before. Can I use it?
No, sorry. The offer is just for people who are brand new to The Climbing Academy.
  • Can I try rope climbing during the two weeks?
If you already rope climb, yes, from day one. All climbers can request a free auto belay induction; but for top-roping and lead climbing, if you’re new to ropes you’ll need to book a taster session or a beginners’ course first, for safety. See Roped courses.
  • When I visit, how long can I stay?
An entry lets you stay and climb as long as you want.
  • How long is the offer running?
Six months from 1 September 2026. We’ll review it after that
