The Arc Community Day 2026: Climbing, Skating and Live Music in Chippenham

The Arc Community Day returns to Chippenham on Saturday 1 August 2026, from 11am to 6pm. It’s a fun day out for all ages, packed with centre tours, nature walks, food, live music, games, opportunities to climb and a free play park — and it runs alongside Burt’s Fest at the skate park. Here’s everything you need to know before you come down.

What’s on at The Arc Community Day

There’s something for everyone, whether you climb every week or have never set foot on a wall. Across the day you can:

• Have a go on the walls with Climbing Tasters – try roped climbing, auto belays and bouldering – book early to secure your spot. No experience needed
• Take a tour of The Arc and see what we’re all about
• Head out on a guided nature walk to see woodland sculptures 
• Grab something to eat at the cafe
• Enjoy live music
• Play games and let the little ones loose in the play park

It’s relaxed, friendly and built for families, so bring everyone along and make a day of it.

Burt’s Fest: skate jam, comp and demos

Running alongside our Community Day is Burt’s Fest, hosted at The Arc’s skatepark. It’s organised by local legends, skate shop Burt’s Boards who bring a brilliant atmosphere every year. Expect a skate jam, a competition, demos from local riders and merch to take home. Whether you skate or just want to watch, it’s well worth a look.

The skate park itself is free to use all year round, so even if you can’t make Community Day, it’s always there.

Members’ evening from 6pm

The day doesn’t stop at 6pm. After the public event wraps up, we’re holding a members’ evening to keep the good vibes going for regulars. If you climb with us, stick around.
