Bouldering Inductions in Glasgow

You don’t need an induction to start bouldering. Drop in any day, any time and climb.

New to bouldering and not sure where to start? Our friendly Glasgow team will show you around the centre, teach you the essential techniques and share tips to help you climb safely and with confidence.

An induction is completely optional. It’s simply a relaxed, friendly way to get going with a bit of expert guidance behind you. Prefer to jump straight in? You can start bouldering whenever you like, with no booking needed.

After your induction you’re welcome to stay and keep climbing. Your 2nd visit at TCA is free, so you can come back and build on what you’ve learned.

Do I need an induction?

No. An induction is optional. You are welcome to drop in and start bouldering any day we’re open, with no experience and no booking required. An induction just gives you a friendly introduction if you’d like one.

What to expect

No experience required. This session is for people who are new to TCA. Inductions last 30 minutes and you’re welcome to stay and climb for as long as you want afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

• Do I need any experience to start bouldering?
  None at all. Bouldering is one of the easiest ways to get into climbing. Just turn up in comfy, stretchy clothes and our team will help you with the rest. Try to avoid things that are too baggy as they may catch on holds.
• Do I have to book an induction before I climb?
  No. You can drop in and start bouldering any time we’re open. An induction is optional and only there if you’d like a guided introduction.
• How long does an induction take?
  Around 30 minutes. After that you can stay and climb for as long as you like.
• How much does it cost?
  An adult induction is £15. If you’d rather come as a family, a family bouldering induction is £13 for the adult and £9 for the child. Your 2nd visit is free of charge, so you can come back and keep building on what you’ve learned.
• Is there a minimum age?
  Yes. Children need to be aged 8 or over to take part in a bouldering induction.
• What should I wear and bring?
  Comfortable clothes you can move in. We hire out climbing shoes at the centre, so there’s nothing you need to get in advance.
