Bouldering

Just turn up and give it a go – no booking or courses needed. Bouldering is climbing at low height over crash mats, so there are no ropes to worry about. It’s the easiest way to get started. At The Newsroom:

  • Children aged 8+ can boulder in the main bouldering area.
  • Under 8s must use the dedicated kids’ area, which features child-friendly climbs and a mini slide.
  • It’s not essential, but if you’d prefer a guided first visit, book a Bouldering Induction.
  • Save time before your visit, complete forms online in advance – these include a short safety video.
  • Want to try ropes? Head to The Prop Store in Maryhill.

Book optional Bouldering Induction

Supervision: All climbers under 16 must be supervised by a registered adult for bouldering. One adult can supervise up to two children per visit.
