Outdoor Taster Sessions

During the summer months, TCA offers outdoor taster sessions to give you the chance to experience real rock climbing at one of our brilliant local crags.

Avon Gorge

Situated in the heart of Bristol, this famous city cliff provides a perfect introduction to climbing. Sea Walls catches the evening sun and is quick and easy to reach. If you book a taster session at the Gorge, we’ll let you know where to meet us!

Wyndcliff Quarry

A short drive from Bristol in the beautiful Wye Valley, Wyndcliff is a set of sunny crags with amazing views over the Severn estuary. This is a fantastic location for those who are looking to take their first steps from indoor climbing to outdoor rock climbing. Your instructor will set up top ropes, allowing you to climb as you would at The Church. There are grades to suit all abilities, so whether you want to try something easy or hard, there are enough routes to keep you busy all day.
