Fri 21 June 2024

Refugees Rock/Borderlands Fundraiser

Join us from 5-9pm on Fri 21 June for a fun evening in aid of Borderlands who run the amazing Refugees Rock sessions at The Mothership. Climbers love the chance to show off their grip strength, so we will be hosting a hangboard challenge. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to win?

Or take your chances to win fab prizes by entering the raffle – from Patagonia merch, to climbing guidebooks and chalk bags  – we’ve got the lot!

Find out more

The team from Borderlands will be there on the night to tell you more about the brilliant work they do. Please bring a donation for the box or donate via contactless. There’ll be Borderlands merch on sale and a raffle with prizes from top climbing brands and Bristol Independents.

Refugees Rock has been running at The Mothership. Alongside all of Borderlands’ other work, this climbing project aims to bring asylum seekers and refugees from a feeling of exclusion to belonging through activities that connect us to ourselves and to one another.

Money raised as part of this fundraiser will go towards helping Borderlands fund travel for participants to and from Refugees Rock sessions, as well as funding future outdoor climbing trips and/or trips to climb with other Refugees Rock groups across the country. More broadly, this money will allow Borderlands to fund other wellness activities alongside rock climbing, including football, dance, yoga, and sewing.
