While we can’t climb together there are lots of different ways our community has been meeting up online. Call of Duty fan and staff member Sam came up with this brilliant idea to appeal to all our climbing nerds. So if you’re a gamer, read on…

TCA Call Of Duty Warzone

Listen up! We know you’ve been grinding away in the Gulag in these hard months of closure during your fingerboarding sets. We also know that life right now feels a bit like a Most Wanted contract, flying around in a helicopter trying to get your teammates back from the grave.  And we KNOW that you want that DMR to just disappear into space, never to be found again.

That’s why we’ve decided to hold our own Call of Duty Warzone private match where all you climbers can get your favourite squad together and fight in a Trios Battle Royale to decide the ultimate nerd climber.

We can’t yet confirm or deny if the legend that is TCA coach Cobra (pictured) will be competing.

Is gaming good for you?

Call of Duty Warzone has been a saviour for many through these tough months, and many in our climbing community have very much embraced it. Obviously, this is very different for a climbing centre to do, but you know what? Why not? This definitely wins the prize for the most left-field part of our focus on mental health.

Social gaming is a positive thing for those who enjoy it and we wanted to create more ways for our community to meet up during lockdown.

We’ll be holding 3 games back to back on Friday 12 of February at 7.30pm.

There’s room for 50 teams max, so it’ll be first-come-first-served.
Once you’re signed up, we’ll get in touch with some final details on how to join.

If you want to get involved and you haven’t played, Warzone is FREE and cross-platform, so you can play on PC, Xbox One + Xbox Series S/X + PS4/PS5.
