The Parent Beta: Making it Work
We know that when kids arrive, your free time is precious and your budget is more constrained. We want to make it as easy as possible to keep you active without it becoming a massive logistical or financial headache. We have a range of passes are designed to be straightforward, flexible and most importantly, affordable. Below are some entry options for families (or see all prices):
The Family Pass Add-on (£16/month)
Climbing together is a great way to stay active and find a shared passion. Other sports separate abilities, in climbing you can climb together no matter what grade you climb on, working on different challenges side-by-side. Add a child under 16 to any adult pass (except off-peak) for just £16 per month. This gives you unlimited entries, making those quick “burn off some energy” sessions much more affordable.
Under 16s Month Pass
A regular under 16s pass is £26 per month. That gives your under 16 unlimited entry to climbing at any TCA centre. You can purchase that at reception — it isn’t available online yet.
The Tiny Academy Pass (£30/month)
The Tiny Academy pass is designed to give under 5s consistent access to centres without breaking the bank. If you want flexible entry and may attend Tiny Academy, this is for you. It includes:
- Unlimited access to the dedicated kids’ climbing area at The Newsroom in Glasgow for the named child.
- 4 Free Tiny Academy sessions per month (includes the child, one supervising adult and a sibling aged 5 or under).
- Free shoe hire during those Tiny Academy sessions.
- Check out Tiny Academy in Bristol, Glasgow or Chippenham.
Supervision
Bouldering: Under 16s must be supervised by a registered adult. Each adult can supervise up to 2 others per visit. Roped Climbing: Under 18s must be supervised by a registered adult. See also FAQs

You are welcome to climb as a family, but if you’d rather they learn from the pros, we offer structured sessions for all ages:
