Filming Request – We Need Your Help

We have an exciting new project in the works at The Arc. We plan to film a drone fly-through tour to showcase our amazing centre – something like this. This is where we need your help. We’re looking for an array of participants including boulderers, roped climbers and skaters… and don’t worry there’s something in it for everyone that takes part.

Take part

People required

The fly-through will cover all areas of the centre from our bouldering rooms, to our indoor auto belay section all the way through to our outdoor cafe area/skatepark.

We need 14 people minimum for this project so if you have any friends that would be keen to take part, get them involved too.  There is no age restriction although under 16s require a supervising adult with them. Only apply to climb if you are a registered TCA climber. You must be a certified, competent TCA roped climber to participate in any of the roped climbing elements below.

• 1 person at reception (this person does not need to climb or skate)
• 3 people bouldering upstairs
• 1 person in the stretching area
• 1 person bouldering downstairs
• 1 person on auto belays
• 2 people (climber and belayer) on the big overhung lead wall
• 2 people (climber and belayer) on the central wall
• 2 people (climber and belayer) on the outdoor lead wall
• 1 skater in the skatepark

Timings and Location

When and Where

Wed 25 September. Filming will take place 6.30-10.30am at The Arc, Chippenham.
That’s not a typo, it does say 6.30am! We are filming before the centre opens. You must be available to stay for this entire 4hr period.

It’ll be easy

What is required of you?

Don’t worry, you don’t need to have the acting skills of Robert de Niro to take part. We simply need you to do what you usually do, on cue, during the drone fly-through. This is not suitable for new climbers. Please only apply if you are a confident in your climbing or skating skills.
