Healthy date night idea in Glasgow

GLASGOW

Healthy date night idea

Bored of the usual dinner and drinks? Why not spice things up a little bit and bring that special someone to TCA for a healthy date night idea in Glasgow. Whether you’re a seasoned climber or a complete beginner, TCA offers an exhilarating and memorable experience that’s perfect for couples seeking adventure and a bit of friendly competition. You don’t need any experience to get started when bouldering, simply watch a safety video, speak to staff and grab your shoes (chalk optional) and you’re ready to get on the wall. We also have a welcoming cafe serving up everything from beers* to pizza – perfect for your post climb chat after you’ve worked up an appetite.

Who knows? You might even end up getting married at TCA like Ulrike and Matt.

FALL IN LOVE WITH CLIMBING

3 reasons to choose TCA

1. Adventure and fun in one easy package

There’s no need to go on a course to get started, for bouldering, you can simply watch a safety video, recieve a safety briefing from a member of staff, grab your shoes (chalk optional) and you’re ready to get on the wall. Climbing is a fantastic way to bond with your partner while having loads of fun. At TCA, you’ll find a range of climbing walls suited to all skill levels, so you can challenge each other and celebrate your successes together.

2. A healthy active alternative

Skip the usual bar scene and opt for a date night that promotes health and wellness. Climbing is a full-body workout that’s great for your physical and mental health. Plus, you’ll leave TCA feeling invigorated and accomplished, ready to continue your evening with a sense of achievement. We think it’s the perfect healthy date night idea.

3. Great location

With two locations in Glasgow, The Newsroom in Kinning Park and The Prop Store in Maryhill, you have the option to visit either with the flexibility to explore more of Glasgow after your climbing session. The Newsroom is midway between Kinning Park and Shields Road subway stations, if you’re heading into town or just a short walk to the Quay. The Prop Store is just a mile from Byres Road. There are plenty of bus links on Maryhill Road.

Let’s go climbing

For bouldering, you don't need any experience and don't need to book a course before starting. Complete beginners are welcomed (and encouraged). If you're looking to tackle our roped area including auto-belays at The Prop Store, you can book a beginner course or receive a free auto-belay induction. If it's your first date, we'd reccomend starting out with bouldering.

*Over 18’s only for Alcohol. Must have valid ID and have finished your climbing session before consuming.
