TCA Glasgow winter bouldering comps

It’s that time of year again! Get the dates of our 25-26 Winter Bouldering Comps in your calendar. Each comp will feature 25 problems to suit all levels. The atmosphere is great and it’s a fun opportunity to push yourself on some problems that you wouldn’t ordinarily try.

This year there will be 2 Friday night rounds in November and January, followed by the closing round and finals on a Saturday in February.

Entry

Entry to the comp is £5 plus standard entry (either PAYG or free with a pass). Minimum age to enter the comp is 8 years old.

Prizes

We’ll have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the first two rounds and a raffle for all competitors, so plenty of reasons to enter. Overall series prizes will be presented after the finals on Sat 14 February.

Good to know

  • You can choose to compete in the Open or Female categories.
  • The centre will be CLOSED to customers who are not taking part in the competition!
  • Start hand hold and feet will be marked with tape, as will finish holds.
  • There will be no finals on first the 2 rounds – all scores submitted will count towards the participants total score for the whole series.

 

Not competing?

Come and watch! Make a date for the Comp Finals on Valentine’s Day, 2.30-4.30pm. Top climbers from each category go head-to-head on the tough final problems. Get inspired, enjoy hanging out with the community and make some noise. There’ll be plenty of sweet treats and cuppas to warm your hands.
