Peak pricing update

TCA is introducing some changes to its pricing policy. This is a decision that must be taken to help manage demand and keep climbers safe.

Making changes to keep you safe

As a company, we are keen to avoid changing things continually, but managing our centres safely whilst we are in the midst of a pandemic calls for necessary tweaks.

PRICING CHANGE

As we experience higher demand at peak climbing periods, queues are forming. This cluster of people waiting is something we want to reduce. We also want to make it easier for our pre-paid pass-holders to get entry. So from Wednesday 7 October – at all centres – pay-as-you-go climbing will be FULL-PRICE ONLY DURING PEAK TIMES. That is:

£10 for lifetime members
£12 for new members
All PAYG concessions can still climb, but they will have to pay the premium prices noted above.
The only exemption is over 70s who continue to climb for free.
This change does not affect pass-holders.

Families

Non-climbing supervising adults will no longer need to pay entry at any centre at any time.
Only one supervising adult per paying child is allowed in for free (though they can supervise up to 2 kids).
Other adults in the same party will need to pay entry or have a Pass.

Separate kids-specific climbing area at The Newsroom

The kids’ area which exists only at The Newsroom centre can be booked online and costs £5/child – for children of any age, if they only climb in that area. At the Newsroom, children aged 8+ can also access the main climbing area – but must pay the peak price if during peak hours. At that centre, under 8s must only climb in the kids area.

Peak times

We will be introducing off-peak climbing at weekends for the first time from 3pm till close – in all centres. See Locations for peak climbing times.

RULES ON FACE COVERINGS

IT IS NOW MANDATORY FOR CUSTOMERS TO WEAR FACE COVERINGS IN ALL AREAS OF THE CENTRE, EXCEPT WHILST CLIMBING, EXERCISING IN THE GYM AND CONSUMING FOOD OR DRINK IN THE CAFE. CLIMBING IN A MASK IS CURRENTLY OPTIONAL.
