Price changes September 2022

Some price changes are coming into effect.

What’s new?

SOME PRICES ARE GOING UP

This is something you’ve probably been hearing a lot recently. We have done our best to avoid it at TCA but on 1 September 2022 some of our prices will be increasing as follows:

Item Old price New price
Shoe hire (adult) £3 £3.50
Shoe hire (u16s) £2.50 £3
Month pass (adult pre-paid) £40 £44
Month pass (adult EFT monthly billing) £36 £39
Month pass (U16 pre-paid) £20 £22
Month pass (U16 EFT monthly billing) £20 £22
New member deal (adult) £33 £36
New member deal (U16) £15 £18

Lots of prices are staying the same. Pay as you go peak and off-peak prices are unchanged, as are punch cards and all other equipment hire. You can see all prices on our website.

TCA remains one of the least expensive climbing passes in the UK. Our cheapest pass, the adult EFT (monthly billing) is still just equivalent to our old student EFT in 2019!

Why are prices changing?

The reason we are forced to increase entry prices is to cover our increased overheads to run the business. In recent months the cost of energy, wages, climbing holds and shoes have all gone up.

Do I need to do anything?

If you are on monthly billing and you are happy to continue with the new price, you do not need to do anything. If you would like to cancel, you can do this anytime via My TCA. Monthly billing (EFT) comes off on 12th of each month.

We are committed to

Delivering value

We are committed to offering you the best quality climbing experience. That won’t change! We aim to continue our program of reinvestment into our sites. Our brand new changing and showers area upstairs in The Mothership open this summer.

Monthly billed TCA passes are still the cheapest way to climb if you come often. Passes allow entry to all centres which includes extensive gym facilities in Bristol and Glasgow.

Climbing at TCA offers a cost-effective way to maintain physical fitness, mental health and invaluable social contact during tough times.

We understand that circumstances will be challenging for many over the coming months and greatly appreciate your continued visits.
