We understand that price changes can be disappointing, and we want to be upfront about why this adjustment is necessary. Our goal is to balance rising costs with our commitment to keeping climbing as accessible and affordable as possible. Plus, find out how you can secure 2024 pass prices.

Our biggest investment
One of the greatest investments we make as a business is in our incredible team. Our staff are at the core of everything we do, ensuring your experience with us is safe, enjoyable, and welcoming. However, the 2025 rise in Employer National Insurance Contributions and another National Living Wage increase will significantly grow our staffing costs. Coupled with increasing property rents and service costs, this has led to higher overall running expenses. We are committed to reinvesting in our centres and the cost of doing this has also risen dramatically.
Staying Below Inflation
We’ve worked hard to absorb these rising costs. Despite the current economic pressures, we haven’t adjusted our prices for over 15 months. To ensure we can continue to provide excellent facilities and service, a small adjustment to our pricing is necessary.
For context, in 2016, an EFT at TCA was £42. If it had risen in line with inflation, it would now cost £56. We’ve always prioritised affordability, and even with the new pricing, EFT rates remain below inflation and offer exceptional value for regular climbers.

These are effective from 12 January 2025. There will be an extra 50p on the cost of adult shoe hire, belay device and harness hire. See current prices. Under 16s shoe hire is frozen at £3 per session.

Secure 2024 pass prices
If you purchase a 3, 6 or 12 month prepaid pass or a student pass before the end of January, you can secure 2024 prices.
The best value for prepaid passes comes if you buy a 12 month pass, which is roughly 12 months for the price of 10.

Don’t forget, a TCA pass, bought at any centre, a TCA pass unlocks access to five climbing centres: 2 in Glasgow, 2 in Bristol and 1 in Chippenham.
