On Monday 3 February, we will be holding the Bristol Schools Climbing Championships.
This year, competitors will each have to boulder, top-rope and speed climb. In the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, when climbing makes its first appearance, each competitor will be competing in boulder, lead and speed climbing. We’ll be keeping our lead climbing comp apart from the main event, but this multi-disciplinary event will give competitors a healthy taste of the challenge Olympians will face. As in previous years, the results from the lead comp will be separate and will not count towards the championships.
The first part of the competition will be held at The Mothership (just 5-mins drive from The Church). Once the bouldering part of the competition is complete, teams will return to the church for top-roping, speed and lead.
We know it will be a great day and hope that you will be keen to get involved.
The cost to enter is £30 per team or £10 per individual – there is a discounted rate for schools entering the competition.
