Welcome to

The Prop Store

Please note that there are some restrictions for under 8s whether roped climbing or bouldering. See FAQs. Give us a phone to check in advance of a planned visit.

The Prop Store is a welcoming climbing centre in Maryhill, Glasgow, with contemporary bouldering walls as well as a small roped climbing area with auto belays, lead and top-rope. There is a well equipped gym and training wall. The cafe is open to the public 7 days a week, so you can swing by for great coffee, cake, savoury options or a beer. For little ones – please note that our kids climbing wall is at The Newsroom, in Kinning Park. Visit our Access page to find out more about parking, step-free access and other accessible facilities.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Come and try climbing

If you have not tried roped climbing before, you’ll need to book a Beginners Course. If you’re an established climber you can just complete forms and you’re off.  You don’t have to book or complete a course to go bouldering, just turn up. You can hire shoes at each centre. Save time by completing a form online (which includes a safety video) in advance.  Over 16s can boulder unsupervised. Under 16s must be supervised by a registered adult. Each adult can supervise up to 2 others per visit.

“Recently got into climbing and can’t rate this centre well enough, from friendly staff to a great selection of fun problems and the small gym/training area upstairs. Seems to attract a good, friendly and respectful clientele too which is a great environment for a newbie like me.” Google review ★★★★★

Log your climbs

TCA operates a free system for climbers to track climbs, log progress and (if inclined) compete on a monthly leaderboard via an app called Griptonite – find out more.
