Movement and technique
These sessions are for new, inexperienced or un-coached climbers and this is the single easiest way to improve technique in a very short space of time – probably the best 180 minutes you will ever invest in your climbing
The art of effortless climbing is something to which we all aspire. With our three part Movement and Technique sessions, our experienced coaches will show you ways in which to position your body enabling you to climb with the minimum of effort, taking weight from your arms and distributing it to your feet.
This knowledge is essential for the development of both boulderers and roped-climbers alike. We keep the maximum group size to 6 so that everyone gets the most learning time out of the session.
Our Movement and Techniques class is 3 X 60 minute sessions spread over 3 weeks. You can join all 3 sessions or do just one (please note that this option will be changing in the near future).
In the first we cover footwork, body positioning and twistlocking. The second session goes into different holds, heel and toe locking, rockovers, flagging and body tension. The third session covers dynamic movement, route reading, training basics, spotting and complementary activities.
