Three down and one to go, and it's all still to play for! With the best 3 scoring rounds counting towards the final, a big effort could see a lot of placings changing - see Giffer's analysis below.

Well done to Lucy Taylor, Tom Pagon, Claire Hunter-Funnell and Hamish Potokar who topped this round's score sheets.

Giffer's expert analysis:

Y7-9 Girls.
Ali Phillips might just catch Lucy Taylor. Third place is tight with Micaela Phillips and Vonni Bentley in contention.

Y7-9 Boys.
Tom Pagon is in control as Hugo Cullum would need to beat him by 14 or more points to win on countback. Matt Gooder would need to beat Rob Ryan by only 2 or more points to take third.

Y10-13
Girls.Clare H-F and Isobella Bentley seem unassailable in first and second spots. Natalie Gooder is best placed for 3rd, but Emma Piercy and Lucy Worthington have a chance.

Y10-13 Boys.
Max is best placed but James or, if he climbs especially well, Hamish can snatch it. If Laurie and Dave Broad are to get in the places, Hamish would have to be absent.

Y7-9 Girls Team.
As long as they compete in R4 with a full team, BCCS are best placed to win. Redland High and Prior Park are in with a chance though.

Y7-9 Boys Team.
As long as they all compete in R4 with a full team, this will end with BGS, Lansdown and BCCs, taking the places in that order.

Y10-13 Girls Team.
Redland High are best placed, but BGS or Prior Park could catch them.

Y10-13 Boys Team.
As long as both James and Hamish compete in R4, BGSA will win. If they don't, QEH or BCCS could sneak in.

We had 179 cards handed in on Saturday and now all the results are collated, checked and can be viewed as a pdf here.

One small error with the top placings is that Victoria Cook tied with Emily Garrod in the Adult Female category and will recieve a prize along with the other top placing competitors.

Thanks to everyone who attended Saturday's comp. Despite good weather we still had a great turnout, and big thanks to Mikey and Chris at the Barn for driving their youth squad up for the event. There were a few ties at the top after some very good performances, rest assured the problems will resume some form of ferociousness with next month's redpoint comp!

Flash Format Comp This Saturday

Don't forget the comp this saturday. There will be 20 great problems set by the usual team plus guest setting uber-wad Gaz Parry. No doubt there will be some deviousness involved!

U18's can start from 10am and over 18's from midday. There are 2 hours to attemp the circuit and last start is 3pm to get the full time allowance.

As always Ellis Brigham will be generously supporting the comp and there will be prizes aplenty.
