We want to say a big TCA thanks to Dave MacLeod for his involvement over the weekend. Dave did some great work with our Youth Squad on Saturday morning  and then ran an open coaching session in the afternoon. We'd not seen anything like it at TCA before, but normally our open session coaches get to move around the centre and work with lots of small groups, but Dave soon found that he had a large crowd following his every move and had to adapt to the different situation.
Being a sports scientist, Dave's coaching was very scientific and his approach very different from that of other top coaches. We've had great feedback about the sessions from both the juniors and adults.
The evening lecture was no less stimulating and engaging, and through some of his current projects, Dave explored his mental game of pushing further and harder, and the dedication and committment that allows this to happen. The lecture left us all feeling really psyched about our climbing again.
